Summary: More and more, Northern Michigan farmland is threatened, its fate decided all to often by the money a residential developer can bring to the table and the people who want a piece of this fabulous resource as a place for their home. This program showcases four farm families who have found a fruitful alternative to an eventual sale of their property for residential use. These families have chosen to sell some or all of the rights to develop their property, insuring that their farm will always be available for another generation of industrious and enterprising stewards of our rich agricultural heritage.
