The Dialogue on poetry (1799-1800) was translated from the periodical Athenaeum, Bd. 3, p. 58-128, 169-187. The literary aphorisms (1797-1800) were translated from Lyceum der schhonen Khunste, Bd. 1. teil 2, and the Athenaeum, Bd. 1, p. 3-146, and Bd. 3, p. 4-33.
